LaGuardia Airport

About LaGuardia Airport

LaGuardia Airport is one of the largest international airports in the United States serving over 70,000 passengers a day from all over the world. Conveniently located in Queens, NY on Long Island just eight miles from midtown Manhattan.

What You Need To Know
*Parking at LaGuardia Airport is easier than ever. Paying for parking is easy since they accept E-ZPass Plus, cash (US currency), Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Free courtesy busses carry passengers from parking areas to every terminal and between parking lots with two routes, A and B. Route A goes to all terminals and runs every 10 to 15 minutes from 4am to 11:30pm seven days a week. Route B goes to all terminals except for Marine Air Terminal/Delta Shuttle and runs every ten to fifteen minutes from 6am to 2am.

*LaGuardia has ten terminals serving specific airlines at each terminal. Plan ahead by visiting the official site to find out where your terminal is located. Each terminal serves specific airlines, so it's fairly easy to find out which one is yours.

*LaGuardia Airport has added family security lines. These security lines are added specifically for families, and those who are unfamiliar with TSA security procedures. This allows experienced travelers and those in a hurry to get where they're going quickly, while families and others who need more time can get through security with minimal stress and hassle.

*Dining, shopping, and other services are located throughout the airport. Chances are, you'll find what you need in your terminal. The official website has terminal maps, showing you what services are located there including restrooms, shops, ground transportation, courtesy phones, restaurants, and other services.

*Travelers should exercise caution. Ignore non-uniformed people offering to help you with your bags. Ignore individuals in the terminal offering ground transportation. Safe, reputable ground transportation can be found at information counters, taxi dispatchers, and bus stops found on the arrivals level of the central terminal building.

*If you need to arrange ground transportation when you arrive, follow the signs to the Welcome Center/Ground Transportation Counter located near the baggage claims. You can also call the transportation info line listed below for more information on services.

*Q40, Q33, and M60 busses operate through LaGuardia Airport, stopping at all terminals. Please visit the official sites for the current schedules. Please note that while these busses run most of the day, they do not run 24 hours a day. Be sure to check the schedule carefully in making your plans.

Before You Leave
*Be sure your ticket and identification are easily accessible for security checkpoints.

*While many transit and transportation services accept credit and debit cards, not all services will accept them. Make sure you have plenty of cash in small bills to cover the costs of services.

*Always carry proper identification when travelling. Be advised that American travelers returning from Canada and Mexico are now required to carry a US Passport to be readmitted to the United States.
